floors share the following feature
which you need to take into
account when refinishing.
Virtually any floor that you
run your hand along feels flat.
However, if you did a side profile
section of an old floor, you
would notice that the individual
blocks/boards were anything
up to 3-4mm worn down at different
places. When the boards are
lifted and then relaid these
get all jumbled up, and they
are then put down in a random
way. Therefore you will usually
need the more aggressive 10
inch endless belt big machine
to level out these “steps”
even in a single-room project.
Because of the unevenness usually
associated with a newly-laid
reclaimed floor, it is best
to adhere to a directional sequence
